The key is on the sambal and amount of terasi you put it. I’m already have a small jar of Sambal Oelek Chili Paste which basically red chilies shredded with oil no seasoning.

I asked my favorite butcher in the Singapore wet market if she could cut the meat into pieces for cooking rendang. She understands how to cut it, and this saves me time and energy at home…
